Perinatal and Postpartum Mental Health
As a mother of 3, Ashley is extremely familiar with the beauty and struggles that many women experience during this stage of life. Having a child is one of the biggest life changes a woman will ever experience. Did you know the structure of a woman’s brain physically changes when she has a child?! It can feel overwhelming having your life change drastically with the new responsibility of caring for a little life. Many women experience surges of postpartum anxiety, depression, and mom-guilt as their bodies and minds try to adjust to their new norm. Ashley knows this journey can feel tiring and lonely and truly enjoys guiding women through this season of their life so that they can cherish these moments in the midst of challenge.

“As someone who has walked through my own counseling journey, I know it takes bravery to begin the process. Some of my favorite moments are when I have clients end sessions saying ‘Wow! I feel like I just went to the gym!’ or ‘I can’t believe I waited so long to do this.’ I love being able to give my clients a place to explore their own stories, learn tools they can use to help them live well, and to discover what it means to truly give themselves the grace and care they deserve.”
